PROFILE: Adwoa Pinamang Owusu Afriyieh

I'm Adwoa Pinamang Owusu Afriyieh, and I'm honored to serve as your President.

A bit about me: I completed my secondary education at the esteemed Wesley Girls' High School, where I developed a strong foundation in the sciences. I then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology at the University of Ghana, which deepened my understanding of the biological sciences and instilled in me a passion for healthcare.

As a medical student, I'm committed to academic excellence, leadership, and community service. When I'm not studying or attending to my presidential duties, you can find me learning new languages (I'm currently fascinated by Dutch and French!), grabbing lunch or dinner with my girls or getting lost in a good novel (I'm a fan of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and John Grisham).

As President of UGMSA, my goal is to create an inclusive, supportive, and vibrant community that empowers medical students to reach their full potential.

My favorite memory verse is Philippians chapter 4:6

And my favorite saying is "GOD NEVER FAILS".
